Reid Pulls Gun Legislation From Senate
After getting his head handed to him
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced Thursday he was setting aside proposed gun legislation for now following the defeat a day earlier of major provisions sought by President Barack Obama and Democrats in the aftermath of the Newtown school massacre.
Reid said he and Obama agreed it was time for a "pause" to let negotiations continue.
At the same time, Reid criticized Republicans for orchestrating the failure of a proposal to expand background checks on gun buyers, which is a top priority of Obama and Democrats.
"This debate is not over," the Nevada Democrat said on the Senate floor.

Let me get this right. Dirty Harry is blaming Republicans for defeating a bill he himself voted against???? Perfect definition of Partisan hypocrisy.
Pulls it from the Senate?
He's lucky someone didn't ram it up his butt.
BTW, SF Chomical has Feinstein pitching a hissy and (amazingly) the comments telling her to STFU:

DiFi is a pathetic elitist hypocrite. She thinks concealed carry permits are OK for her but not for us "little people".
Ask yourself this: Did the Boston bombings happen because of large clips and a lack of background checks? No. Evil is evil. It doesn't need a gun to manifest itself."
