Dallas Megachurch Wants to Encourage Tweeting During Service
Want a RT for Jesus
You could call it "facebooking" for Jesus. One North Texas mega-church could soon be encouraging its congregants to keep their cell-phones on instead of turning them off during Sunday service.
The idea is already being implemented near Houston. Rector Jim Liberatore of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Pearland is encouraging his congregation to defy conventional church wisdom and keep their cell phones on during services. Liberatore encourages those present to send out tweets or post on Facebook about his sermon.
