An Egyptian court has ordered TV station ElTet to stop broadcasting. The court ruled that the station, which carries bellydancing shows and ads for matchmaking services and sexual enhancement products, airs material that is offensive and arousing. It also found the station is operating without a license.

Who is qualified to judge that something is both? Are thet implicitly suggesting that their countrymen are aroused by truly offensive things?

It's also a marvelous loophole for the dirtiest pornographers, if both elements have to be fulfilled. After all, some material might be so offensive that almost no one could find it arousing (See, e.g., Two Girls, One Cup).
