William "Mo" Cowan Will Fill Kerry's Seat Until Election is Held
Former chief of staff to Massachusetts Governor. Deval Patrick
Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick (D) will appoint William "Mo" Cowen, his former chief of staff, to fill former Sen. John Kerry's (D) seat until a special election occurs, according to CBS Boston.
Cowen was considered one of two front-runners for the position, along with Victoria Kennedy, the widow of Sen. Edward Kennedy (D).
