The court ruled that as most Jewish schools are considered public and are subsidized by the Flemish government, the school councils must obey the rules ? including mixed education.

They could always poll the parents to see if they'd like to make up the difference in tuition, and if yes, appeal the ruling.

Funny how the Religious Right in this country want taxpayer-funded religious institutions. This case in Belgium alone should convince them otherwise, but it won't.

Why would a father force his sons to go to a girls school where they are clearly and explicitly not welcome? That's some fine parenting, right there.

    1. Suthenboy   13 years ago

"...Moshe Aryeh Friedman, a rabbi who took part in a conference that questioned the Holocaust."

I think there is more than one indicator that Moshe has poor judgement. How crazy/deluded does one have to be to be a holocaust denier?

      1. Lurker Kurt   13 years ago

He might have been one of the people saying "Uh yeah, it did happen."

    2. PS   13 years ago

      Duh, for the poontang.

      1. Suthenboy   13 years ago

Yeah, I was just thinking, if I were one of the boys I would be chomping at the bit to get in there. Might be rough at first but I think I have enough charm that half-way into the first semester I would be set.

        1. PS   13 years ago

"Yeah my dad like totally sucks, you can't imagine how much it sucks to have a father like that. Hey, wanna make out?"

        2. JeremyR   13 years ago

          Champing.

Yes, I know it doesn't make obvious sense, but it's champing at the bit.

          1. Suthenboy   13 years ago

You are correct. Thank you. I surely didnt know that. Now I do.

So a rabbi, a priest, and a black guy get on a plane...

              1. Jubal Harshaw   13 years ago

                Nice.

A priest, a rabbi and a clown walk into a bar.
Bartender says, "What is this, some kind of joke?"

          2. sarcasmic   13 years ago

I dated a Jewish chick long enough to discover that all the stereotypes about Jewish mothers are true.

  3. bmp1701   13 years ago

a rabbi who took part in a conference that questioned the Holocaust.

And the Self-Loathing Jew of 2012 is...Moshe Aryeh Friedman!

  4. MasterDarque   13 years ago

You do realize that to be labeled a holocaust denier all you have to do is question any part of the official story for example lets say the official death count is 8 million jews and you ask how can you possibly know that - welp you are an HD - Funny how programmed even the supposed enlightened are. Everything in life should be challenged and questioned regardless of who is saying or promoting it. Rather than condemn Moshe Aryeh Friedman maybe you should find out why he had questions.

    1. A Frayed Knot   13 years ago

And did you bother to look into who Moshe Aryeh Friedman is and what his motivation might be? Being a member of the Neturei Karta sect and attending a Holocaust denial conference in Teheran should tell you all you need to know about his motivations. But somehow I doubt you bothered to do any research. Just another digital cretin

  5. Some call me Tim?   13 years ago

I can't believe everyone is actually buying the official line that these children are boys. Are suppose to just take him at his word?!! Has a doctor verified these claims?! Be skeptical!
