Iowa Legislator Wants to Confiscate Semi-Automatic Firearms
Wants the ban to apply retroactively
In an interview with the Daily Times Herald in Caroll, Iowa, state Rep. Dan Muhlbauer said governments should start confiscating semi-automatic rifles and other firearms.
Muhlbauer, a Democrat from the western Iowa town of Manilla, is a cattleman and farmer. The newspaper reported that he owns a .410 shotgun, a .22 rifle and a .22 pistol.

Someone needs to jot a brief note to the Iowa republican party (or dare I say libertarian party) telling them that there will be a seat easy for the plucking if they just get off their fat useless asses and take it. I'm a Californian (I know! You can stop laughing now) but I'm going to send money to whomever runs against this yutz during the next election cycle!
If only there was a constitutional Amendment that protected our rights to keep and bare arms.
Honestly, this level of incompetence is what I deal with every day living in the North East.
