Biden: Washington Has to Take "Immediate Action" on Gun Control
His task force starting to work this week
Vice President Biden said Wednesday that Washington must "take immediate action" in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, as the White House stepped up its efforts to develop a legislative program on gun violence.
Biden kicked off a string of meetings with stakeholders on the issue by sitting down with representatives of victims' groups and gun safety organizations on Wednesday morning. On Thursday, he will hold a similar session with hunters and gun owners groups, including a representative from the National Rifle Association.
