Missouri Appeals Court Refuses to Overturn Order to Release Man from Prison
George Allen spent 30 years in prison before being released due to a "deeply flawed" interrogation and a "dubious" confession
A state appeals court refused on Wednesday to overturn a judge's order that released a St. Louis man who had been imprisoned for nearly 30 years on a murder charge.
"We're thrilled, we're absolutely thrilled," said Barry Scheck, co-director of the Innocence Project and one of the lawyers representing George Allen.
