Pope Benedict will join the army of Twitter users across the world and set up his personal account on the popular social network. He is expected to start using it by the end of the year, Vatican officials have confirmed.

Pope Benedict XVI reportedly won't be going at full length with his texts, which are reduced to 140 characters on Twitter. His messages will be put in a nut shell, mostly featuring updates on his activities and words of wisdom.
