NYC Cop Pleads Guilty To Selling Guns, Body Armor to Drug Dealers
Think of it as "Fast and Furious," Alphabet City-style
A former New York City police officer pleaded guilty on Monday to stealing guns and a bullet-resistant vest from fellow officers and selling them to a drug dealer in order to feed an addiction to pain pills.
Nicholas Mina, 32 years old, was officially fired from the New York Police Department shortly after his guilty plea in state Supreme Court in Manhattan, department officials said. At the time of his arrest in July, he had been an officer for three years at the Ninth Precinct in the East Village, where he stole four guns and the vest from the lockers at the station house.
