    Time travel?

    1. sloopyinca   13 years ago

You missed our time travel conversation on the 2A thread from last night. I'll admit it was short but also to the point.

      1. sarcasmic   13 years ago

This is marked as being posted at 8am, yet it did not appear until 8:30.

Did it fall through a wormhole or something?

        1. Rich   13 years ago

          ML @ "9:00".

  2. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

    Finally, HAZ ENUFF LABELZ!

  3. Fist of Etiquette   13 years ago

Is Putin coming on to him?

    1. Bardas Phocas   13 years ago

If I was into middle aged tough guys - I would totally go for Vlad.

      1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

        Middle aged? Isn't he 60?

        1. TheSpiteHouse   13 years ago

60 is the new 45 (for those who exercise a lot).

  4. Fist of Etiquette   13 years ago

"I'll take Anthony Weiner to block."

    1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

Damn, a winner already. OK folks, shows over. Wait for AM Links, Fist wins.

    2. Tim   13 years ago

Peter Marshall: What are "Forward", "I Can Help" and "Yes we can"?

George Gobel: I don't know but it's coming from the next apartment.

      1. Rich   13 years ago

        "Lonesome George" Gobel.

Sheesh, Tim, how old *are* you?

  5. Bee Tagger   13 years ago

I knew the PT in Putin stood for Physical Therapist.

  6. Bee Tagger   13 years ago

That's way too effusive for a German.

    1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

      "Ja, gut."

      /Click of phone hanging up

  7. Rich   13 years ago

Without the label in the last panel I would have no idea who that person is supposed to be.

    1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

And they mocked Bok's labelz at the (art) Academy!

    2. Bee Tagger   13 years ago

      I still think it's Krang.

    3. Restoras   13 years ago

You know who else was a terrible artist?

      1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

        Picasso?

        1. Rich   13 years ago

I know a guy who says "Of course, it's appropriate to drop the first three letters."

Well some people try to pick up girls
            They get called assholes
This never happened to Pablo Picasso

The girls would turn the colour of a juicy avocado
When he would drive down their street in his El Dorado

He could walk down your street
Girls could not resist his stare
So Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole
            Not like you
            Wow!

But girls could not resist his stare
Pablo Picasso never got called an asshole

No video, Colonel? Here you all go.

    4. Rich   13 years ago

My initial perception (w/o the ripped bod and the speech balloon) was Inspector Clouseau.

  8. Fist of Etiquette   13 years ago

I'm not sure why Cameron is masturbating during the call; Obama doesn't give him a second thought.

  9. The Late P Brooks   13 years ago

That's Putin's subtle way of saying, "I'm gonna BEND YOU OVER"?

    1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

I rather think it will be a voluntary bend.

      1. Fist of Etiquette   13 years ago

While he's already down there bowing anyway...

  10. The Late P Brooks   13 years ago

What did the Gnomes of Zurich say?

  12. Restoras   13 years ago

Friday Funnies is really just a jobs program for one guy.

    1. Fist of Etiquette   13 years ago

Correction: Two guys. Or is Payne here on merit?

      1. Restoras   13 years ago

No, you are right. Payne is terrible also but for somre reason is more easily forgettable.

  13. Restoras   13 years ago

Question for the early day Reasonoids:
.40 S&W or .357 Sig? Preferences, positives/negatives for those with any insight?

    1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

.40 - better stopping power vs zombies or looters.

      1. Restoras   13 years ago

Thanks LTC. What kind of metrics can I look at to assess this stuff? Muzzle velocity?

        1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

If you are better at math than I (which is true of many folks) I suspect initial velocity, weight of round, max effective range and all should be figured in.

        2. Corneliusm   13 years ago

          Force = Mass * Velocity^2

I would say that too much of one and not enough of another has tradeoffs. Slower heavier rounds punch and cause all sorts of shock on the target, but can be easily stopped by cover or kevlar. On the other hand, 357 sig is smaller and faster at the muzzle (about 200fps faster, give or take), but has a tendency to pass through anything you shoot, which means a lot of energy is wasted unnecessarily behind your target. Similar arguments can be made between the heavy .45ACP and fast 10mm round.

Plus, there's cost and availability. You won't find 357 sig well-stocked (cheap) in your local gun store or walmart.

FWIW, the cartridges are same diameter, and I believe my SW M&P 40 can be converted to 357 Sig with just a barrel change, but I've never attempted it.

    2. sloopyinca   13 years ago

Draco AK-47 pistol, and paint the tip orange.

After paying out the settlement for the illegal stop and detention, the state you live in can buy both of the other ones for you.

      1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

Restoras - I think sloopy has the best advice here.

    3. Gray Ghost   13 years ago

.40 is going to be much easier to find ammo for, just saying. Said ammo, judging by a brief look at cheaper than dirt, is about 1/2 to 2/3 of the cost too.

OTOH, .357 Sig is going to shoot flatter and penetrate better. Felt recoil is supposed to be greater, not sure if that's a concern for you.

      I don't know which one's harder on a pistol.

    4. db   13 years ago

.40 all the way. Ammo is way easier to find and the bottlenecked .357 case will wear out faster if you care to reload. Also the .357 runs at higher pressure and will be louder and have more perceived recoil, which also has an impact on the longevity of the firearm.

  14. Caleb Turberville   13 years ago

    What's up with Cameron's lip?

    1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

Bok was trying to show it was stiff?

      1. Caleb Turberville   13 years ago

Of course, how stupid of me.

  15. sloopyinca   13 years ago

It's sad that in the 21st Century, the only realistic looking foreign head of state talking head is Netenyahu. That's got to be either a Zionist plot or an anti-Jewish plot. I've not decided yet.

    1. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

      Go with the Zionist Plot!

      /Stormfront off

  16. Kaptious Kristen   13 years ago

When did Roseanne Barr dye her hair blonde and become German Chancellor?

  17. sloopyinca   13 years ago

1: Don't the use seats with backs on them in most of Europe, or were they all in a bar together watching the results?

2: Why did three of these people change their last names to that of a nation? I blame Kathy Ireland.

3: Who outlawed tanning salons in Russia?

4: In Soviet Russia, Friday Funnies mocks you!

    1. Drave Robber   13 years ago

2: Why did three of these people change their last names to that of a nation?

Perhaps it the other way round - one of the nations has been renamed. (With foreign journalists being advised - "remember, it's one word! ONE word!" - again.)

  18. Drave Robber   13 years ago

I've always felt the fuss over that 'flexible' comment was way overblown, and there is no real-world evidence of any 'flexibility'. Won't start believing it until the shit in Syria (which has little purpose other than annoying Russia over Tartus) starts receding.

  19. sloopyinca   13 years ago

Retired Philly cop arrested for trying to lure an 8-year old into his car. He has previously been convicted of multiple counts of child porn but served less than a year in jail for those offenses.

Is the union proud they got this guy his pension?

    1. Loki   13 years ago

      Yes.

"It's a good shoot child rape."

  20. sloopyinca   13 years ago

Dumbass drunk cop wrecks his cruiser and tries to hide it in the woods. Oh, he was drunk too.

I wonder when the "possession of firearms in the commission of a felony" (felony H&R if more than $1k worth of damage to the fence, pole or car since it was not his), enhancer is gonna show up? Or the misconduct charge. Or any of the other shit that he should be charged with.

  21. Mr Whipple   13 years ago

Well. Someone once told me that if you don't have anything nice to say......

    1. Bobarian   13 years ago

You'd never comment about friday funnies?

  22. sloopyinca   13 years ago

I guess two eyewitnesses aren't enough to convict a police officer when he stalks them and starts jacking off in front of them. I guess when one of their own runs away, it's not called resisting arrest, either.

Overcharging is for proles, not for pervert cops who stalk and masturbate in front of 13 year old girls, destroy the evidence and then resist arrest by fleeing.

    1. sloopyinca   13 years ago

Dammit, he was found guilty of resisting arrest. My bad.

  23. Loki   13 years ago

Why the hell is a naked alien sitting behind Putin's desk? And why does said alien have such huge bitch tits? Or is that a female alien?

  24. tagtann   13 years ago

Sometimes dude you just have to wonder man, Wow.

  25. The Late P Brooks   13 years ago

.40 S&W or .357 Sig? Preferences, positives/negatives for those with any insight?

I'm late, and it's already been mentioned, but: Price and availability for .40 is much much better. That's undoubtedly why pistols in .357 Sig look "cheap".
