Not bad, not bad.
Needs more "The Man They Called Jayne".
The Man They Called Gary
I'm too busy to write it.
The event is sold out...
How many seats ARE there at a place called "Busboys and Poets"?
Apparently not enough.
Sorry, that song did nothing for me. The most noteworthy thing about this incident, imnsho, is that the singer-songwriter is a COLLEGE PROFESSOR in a STATE UNIVERSITY. It is encouraging to think that students are not receiving uniformly leftist indoctrination in our publicly-funded institutions of higher learning. I am unaware of any libertarian-leaning faculty in our local (Santa Cruz CA) universities, UCSC and CSUMB, but I hope there are at least a few.
agreed.
I'm applying to faculty positions - two of the five places I'm applying to are state schools, so I'll probably be the most libertarian person on the faculty.
And yes, I am concocting a scheme whereby I can get funds for research from private entities without having to play the stupid NIH/DOE/DARPA games (probably better for my stress levels anyway)
First time I've ever heard Gary Johnson, libertarian, set to music.
Needs work, but has potential?
Dude that jsut makes a ll kinds of sense when you think about it.

You wake up on Election Day and don't want to vote
Both major-party candidiates support government bloat.
You wanna dis both of them, make them get honest work
But the media looks at you like you're some kind of jerk.
You gotta fight
For the right
Third Paaaarty
"Stay out of the White House, if that's the shit you're gonna pull
You care less for the public interest than for the latest poll
If both of you could lose I'd salute the flag
And enjoy your salty tears from the sand in your vag
I'm gonna fight
For the right
Third Paaaarty!!!"
"And enjoy your salty tears from the sand in your vag"
bravo evh.
Crappy do it yourself campaign songs are just one of the things that make election years a living hell.
The poetry... the endless poetry...
Needs more cow bell. Or chair stacking.
