EU Envoy Lands in Mogadishu
First ambassador from Europe since the last government collapsed in 1991
The president of Somalia's Federal Republic government Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has on Saturday officially received the credential letters of a new EU envoy to Somalia.
After a meeting at the presidential palace on Saturday, Michele Cervone d'Urso, the new EU ambassador to Somalia handed over his credentials to Somalia president, a move that EU intends of boost its diplomatic ties to Somalia.
