Peace Envoy to Visit Damascus
Lakhdar Brahimi is hoping to secure a cease-fire
Beirut, Lebanon (CNN) -- Scrambling to find a solution to Syria's bloody civil war, international envoy Lakhdar Brahimi arrived in Lebanon on Wednesday in his regional campaign to forge a cease-fire in Syria.
During his brief stop in Beirut, Brahimi met with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman. Later Wednesday, Brahimi is expected to visit the Syrian capital of Damascus.
