You take defeat well.
Not only do we get to hear two politicians jawing, but also little people stuttering out pre-approved questions. Town hall debates are the worst of the worst.
Why not just hire actors to read the questions since they are pre-approved anyway? If it were an actual town hall, the people in attendance would be as likely to start arguing with each other and just ignore the candidates on the floor.
The reason live tweets are the only worthwhile thing about the debates. There were some gems last time:
