Jerry Sandusky Sentenced to 30-60 Years In Prison
A Pennsylvania judge this morning sentenced child predator Jerry Sandusky, who is also a former football coach at Penn State, to 30-60 years in prison.
Sandusky was convicted in June of molesting 10 boys over 15 years, all of whom were participants in Sandusky's charity, The Second Mile.
While the maximum sentence for those crimes is 400 years, NBC News reports that Judge John Cleland decided on 30-60, telling Sandusky he'd be in prison "for the rest of your life."

Good riddance.
Not that I would have watched it, but why wasn't this trial the usual media circus?
The usual yes. But it was actually not as bad as I expected.
Was it? I don't recall seeing anything about it even going on, though I admit I do not troll 24 hour news channels and gossip rags. Except for the Inquirer, that's required reading.
There wasn't that much to report on. The victims were all not men in their 20s. Without a top shelf white girl victim, it is hard to generate the usual circus.
It was big news in the Philly metro area.
Yeah, what is to say? Fuck you Jerry...over and over forever.
Was that note written on a book he gave to a victim?!?
Wow!
A book called "touched", no less.
That's some serious nightmare fuel.
Pity that the ugly old coot won't be getting cornholed every day like any other prison newbie.
I wouldn't bet on that. It's not always about youth and pretty-boy looks. Humiliation and payback are also big prison rape motivations, and convicts with young kids on the outside are going to be especially motivated.
For the record, I don't think prison rape is funny or defensible, but I can understand the urge in this case. Which is why, somewhat reluctantly, I think he should be isolated from the general population. Like a cop or former CO in prison, he'd be a trophy target, and should get the same level of protection.
Not that I'll personally all broken up if it somehow doesn't work out that way.
This one deserves the death penalty. Dead people can't be pardoned by a sympathetic governor a decade down the road.
You think there is sympathy for this guy? Paterno, sure, but I'd think that Sandusky has used up all of his.
You think there is sympathy for this guy?
Not today, no. But there's no telling what the future will bring.
I don't want prison violence to be used on Sandusky, but, unless he's placed in solitary confinement, I doubt he'll live to serve even 10 of those years. Apparently, even murderers and rapists don't have much tolerance for true pedophiles. Pennsylvania has, according to other reports, no facilities for sequestering and protecting offenders like pedophiles.
Justice for Trayvon!!!
oh... am I not in the right place?
