Felix Baumgartner to Attempt Free Fall Record Today
Hopes to break the sound barrier after jumping from 23 miles high
Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner will attempt to break the sound barrier in a free fall this morning.
He was supposed to jump Monday, but the mission was postponed due to weather. Conditions are looking good for lift-off around 8:30 a.m. ET.
The dangerous challenge is sponsored by Austrian energy drink Red Bull.
