Hefty Tab for Presidential Photo-Op
Taxpayers will pay "tens of thousands of dollars" for a brief stop at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Fresh from the first presidential debate, President Barack Obama hits the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus Thursday, his second campaign stop in Wisconsin in less than two weeks.
But Obama's campaign photo-op on Bascom Hill near a statue of Abraham Lincoln comes with a cost to taxpayers, and an inconvenience to the UW-Madison campus.
The full price of the president's visit has yet to be tabulated, but it appears the taxpayer bill will total in the tens of thousands of dollars.
