Parking Crackdown
Police blocked off a large area of downtown Albuquerque for 10 hours to investigate a shooting after a rap concert. Police assured those whose cars were parked on the streets in that area that they would not be ticketed for overparking. But just minutes after the crime scene tape came down, before many owners could get back to their cars, parking enforcement moved through the area slapping citations on vehicles. City officials say they will rescind those tickets.
