Police officers forced students at Horizon High School in Texas to strip down so they could photograph any tattoos the kids were sporting. Parents did not give their permission for the photos, and school officials say the police did not tell them they would be taking photos of students. Police Chief Michael McConnel says the department has destroyed the photos.

This is because kids are the responsibility of the state, not the parents. The state will do what they want to to the kids and woe is any parent who gets in their way.

Also, these cops were assholes and should be charged with child pornography; but I am sure procedures were followed, etc.

The teachers and administrators in this city are obviously not there for the kids. If they were, they would have told the police to leave or would have made citizen's arrests against the officers on myriad charges, not the least was illegal search and seizure.

Secondly, if this was in fact a Civics pop-quiz, every kid that didn't say this was a violation of the 4A should have gotten an "F".

The teachers and admins would have been arrested for interfearing with an officer. Can not really fault them for this. These cops on the other hand, were just pure assholes. Since this was done without the chiefs knowledge or permission, he either should be fired for incompentence or the officers should be fired for violating civil rights. In a just world, they would charge the officers with child pornography.

What he meant was that they erased the photos from the digital camera they used for taking the photos --- after they downloaded them into a PC.

Destroyed or deleted? Destroyed is a term used when photographs were film/paper based, deleted is used for digital. Nothing digital is ever destroyed.
