Chicago Charter Schools: We're Open

Charter schools remind parents to send their kids to school as their schools aren't affected by the teacher's strike

Illinois charter school leaders are urging parents of Chicago's charter school students to send their children to class Monday, regardless of whether the Chicago Teachers Union goes on strike.

"All the charter schools will be open," said Juan Rangel, CEO of the United Neighborhood Organization (UNO), which operates a network of 13 charter schools in the city.
