Obama Courts College Students in Swing States
Two-day campaign trip targets campuses.
With all eyes on the Republican National Convention in Tampa, President Obama will try to divert a little political attention his way with a two-day campaign swing to college campuses in Iowa, Colorado and Virginia.
Underscoring the importance of the youth vote to his campaign, Obama is scheduled to fly out Tuesday morning from Washington for a speech at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He will then go to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo., in the afternoon, and on Wednesday he will make his third swing-state appearance with a speech at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
