Fullerton Officers Kill Man Following Pursuit
Police claim man tried to run them over
A driver who led police on a high-speed chase from Fullerton, Calif., to Bellflower was killed in an officer-involved shooting Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The chase began about 2:40 a.m. when officers reportedly spotted a dark SUV speeding and driving recklessly on the I-5 and the 91 freeways in Fullerton. The driver led them along freeways and surface streets for about 20 minutes before driving into a cul-de-sac on Palo Verde Avenue near Artesia Boulevard in Bellflower, officials said.
