Iraqi Communications Minister Resigns Over Meddling By Prime Minister

Says he quit his post over political interference and that his demand of Nouri Al-Maliki to stop meddling in his ministry was ignored

Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi told the AFP news agency that he resigned on Monday after Nouri al-Maliki, the country's prime minister, failed to meet his demands to put an end to "meddling".
