A's Pitcher Suspended for Failing Drug Test
Bartolo Colon ordered to sit out 50 games.
Oakland pitcher Bartolo Colon has been suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball for testing positive for testosterone, a week after Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera was banished for the same number of games for the same substance.
Colon, 39, has pitched well this season with a 10-9 record and a 3.43 earned run average in 24 starts. This follows last season's 8-10 record for the Yankees with a 4.00 E.R.A.
