Karzai Accepts Dismissial of Top Ministers by Parliament

Afghanistan's defense and interior ministers will not survive a vote of no confidence, but will remain in office until replacements are found.

Hamid Karzai announced on Sunday that he would accept the Parliament's decision to dismiss Defense Minster Abdul Rahim Warduk and Interior Minister Bismillah Mohammadi. Mr. Karzai asked both men to remain in office until their replacements are appointed.
