$465 Fee for Immigrants Seeking Work

Foreign workers hard-up enough to leave their homes and seek jobs the U.S. will have to pay dearly for the privilege

The Obama administration will begin charging $465 this month for temporary work permits for many young, illegal immigrants.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services said Friday it will begin accepting applications Aug. 15. The permits will be granted for two years and subject to renewal.
