John McCain Plays Up Kelly Ayotte on the Campaign Trail
The former presidential candidate suggests Ayotte would make a great vice president
U.S. Sen. John McCain this morning added fuel to the already raging speculative fire surrounding U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte as a potential vice presidential pick for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
"I can't tell you what an outstanding job Kelly has done, not only as a U.S. senator but as a very important member of the Armed Services committee where she has made an enormous impact," said McCain, himself a Republican presidential candidate in 2008, as he talked up the Nashua Republican. "Some might even say vice president Kelly Ayotte."
