Supporters of gay marriage have been drawing media attention to the Christian conservative values of Chick-fil-A's leadership and calling for boycotts. That's all well and good in our freedom-loving consumer culture. But what happens when politicians say they will use their power to block Chick-fil-A restaurants from attempting to do business with their constituencies because of the religious and political positions of its owners? Then, writes Scott Shackford, we're going to have some problems.
