    Gary who?

    1. Fatty Bolger   14 years ago

The ad acknowledges that most people have never heard of him by encouraging viewers to "Google: Governor Gary Johnson."

      1. Shawn Levasseur   14 years ago

It also shows a confidence in his public record that he's encouraging people to google him, and not just take is word on it.

        1. BakedPenguin   14 years ago

Also, given his last name, he's not going to have any Google problems.

          1. Ryan   14 years ago

Let's just be glad his first name isn't Harry.

    2. yonemoto   14 years ago

you mean you didn't see him in that movie team america world police? He kills terrorists and loves teh gehys, sings about AIDS AIDS AIDS, etc.

What do you mean? There were no fried chicken or collard green refer...ohhhhhhh.

      Never mind...

As a Ron Paul supporter, I will be checking the box for Gary Johnson. I can only shake my head at the Republican party for choosing Romney, the party of principal's my arse. I guess their principals have changed. That's fine, my party has changed.

    1. yonemoto   14 years ago

Dude. Write in Ron Paul. That's what I'm doing. If I were in a swings state, I'd vote Obama, 1) to punish the republicans and 2) because we're going to have economic misery, and I'd rather it not be blamed on the "free market" president.

      1. Brandybuck   14 years ago

Dude. Write in Ron Paul. Because it's all about personality worship. Not the freedom.

  6. BoscoH   14 years ago

    Slow motion watermelon is mesmerizing.

    1. Spiny Norman   14 years ago

      Penn Teller did it too.

Hey! Where did my ampersand go?

  7. squarooticus   14 years ago

Voting for the Libertarian Party only encourages their collective idiocy. Not voting at all (for the third straight presidential election) seems like a better choice, given that voting is only an illusion of self-determination anyway.

    1. Loki   14 years ago

That's why I vote for people instead of parties.

    2. TANSTaaFL   14 years ago

Politicians and political parties only care about votes. So, you have 3 choices:

Vote for them - it validates all they do (they don't care or know if you are holding your nose or a rabid supporter).

Vote against them - they notice (and so does everyone else)and they pay attention.

Don't vote - they don't have to pay attention to you.

    3. BakedPenguin   14 years ago

If casting a vote doesn't matter, not casting one also doesn't matter. for me, voting LP is my small obscene gesture to the scum in DC.

      1. Warty   14 years ago

        Exactly.

  8. DesigNate   14 years ago

Gary needs to get some of the people that did Ron Paul's ads on his team. A couple of them were fucking boss.

  9. ant1sthenes   14 years ago

Is this some kind of violent rhetoric intended to intimidate environmental socialists?

  10. yonemoto   14 years ago

you mean you didn't see him in that movie team america world police? He kills terrorists and loves teh gehys, sings about AIDS AIDS AIDS, etc.

  11. Brandybuck   14 years ago

The political ad just doesn't work without a crusty old guy talking about gold.

  12. oldtimer   14 years ago

    We're not a party.

They got that right. Final day of their recent convention in Las Vegas established that fact, for those who still had doubts about it.

  13. Brian from Texas   14 years ago

I guess I better wear a plastic bag over my body if I find myself in the front row at a Johnson campaign appearance. He might have his own personal Sledge-O-Matic.

  14. Adamson   14 years ago

Annoying music, and denigrates his political party (well, the one he's been in for the last few weeks) with a faint disappearing font at first, and then saying it's "not a party".

You'd think the LP would have learned something from the Barr debacle, but I guess not.
