Ronald Bailey on Rule of Law in China
The fall of a Communist princeling and the jailing of a blind pauper suggest that China remains a "natural state" arbitrarily ruled by an elite that plunders the wealth its citizens produce. Reason Science Correspondent Ronald Bailey finds not much hope that China is transitioning to an open society governed by the rule of law, making its future prospects dim.
