Hey John, did you notice that you're quoted in this one?
Was it this one or the taco stand one? I was just flipping through them last night and noticed John and Sudden got mentions.
Where?
In a column off to the side of the Letters section.
I'm looking at my hard copy right now and in that spot I see comments by Reddit commenter pkaro, Glenn Reynolds, and YCombinator commenter DanialBMarkham.
MS, it might only be in the print edition.
It's the print edition I have in front of me right now. Page 8 contains 3 letters to the editor and 3 comments under a "Reaction" heading.
I think it's the newest taco stand issue that John and Sudden's comments are in. I was flipping through it last night and noticed the names.
I better step up my game if I want to make it into the print edition then.
Obvious pandering will not get you in the "reaction" section, kids. But by all means, step up your game!
Obvious pandering isn't even enough to get a hat tip these days. I imagine there is some set of above and beyond "favors" required for an appearance in print.
What about Manimal links, Lucy? Huh?
Lucy, you're going about this all the wrong way. You're supposed to tell us that obvious pandering WILL get us into the reaction section, even though it won't. Then just sit back and enjoy the pandering. Really, this is intern level manipulation.
Come on man, Lucy is better than that. I, for one, approve of her truthfulness. It's what really separates her from the haggard old men like Nick and Matt that she has to work with.
I notice she never mentioned how one DOES end up in the reaction section. Perhaps she's just throwing us a bone by telling is that pandering won't do it. The sneaky part is now we're left wondering how it's done. Bribes? Pithy insightfulness? Huge pectoral muscles? She won't say, which means we'll just have to try every method we can come up with.
I retract my "intern level manipulation" remarks, Lucy. Clearly you a more Machiavellian than we guessed.
Yall should have had a "reaction" section when HERC was around.
You're right, that's the one. I read it on Kindle so I'm not that aware which edition I'm reading at any one time.
They have an issue just for taco stands now? Damn, I gotta get out more.
do all babies beg to be polked, squeezed, tickled, tweaked, blow fart noises into their baby skin, etc...?
Only the healthy ones.
Sounds like a lot of work reading all that.
How is this not kiddie-porn. Look at the elephant for fuck's sake.
You might as well look in the mirror and say Nick Kristof 3 times.
So who do all these folks think they are? Seriously.
