Fucking pigs.
...some Democrats suggest the Obama administration should have spent more of its time on proposals less likely to be eviscerated by the Supreme Court.
Less likely to lose them the House, they mean.
Most Senate Republicans aren't up for election this time around. And the idea of a shutdown terrifies them.
pussies
So I say, "Fuck you, Senate Republicans."
So I say, "Fuck you, Senate Republicans."
But I thought we were like so for Republicans.....Shreeky always said that!
Ah Shreek we miss you! I wonder whose hand is up your ass today!
I'm surprised Dr. No, Jr. (as in "no brain") didn't put a hold on it like he did with the bill to protect kids from killer Pez dispensers.
If you're so incompetent that you can't work a pez dispenser without killing yourself, evolution dictates that it's best you're removed from the gene pool, anyway.
If you think there needs to be a bill passed by the United States Congress about fucking pez dispensers you're even more brain dead than I thought.
Who were the other nine? I bet Dewine (OH) was one of them. Freakin twerp.
Most Senate Republicans aren't up for election this time around. And the idea of a shutdown terrifies them.
Which shows what worthless pussies they are.
Just imagine how they'll act when they are up for election.
This sounds like a job for...

Yeah it does!
No it doesn't!

"Don't the deniers have a right to free speech?" The Inquisition asks rhetorically on its FAQ page. Answer: Apparently not. "There's a difference between free speech and a campaign to deny God with the goal of undermining peoples salvation," The Inquisition argues. "However, there's also responsibility that goes with freedom of speech - which is based around honesty and transparency. Freedom of speech does not apply to blasphemy and heresy."
"No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!"
Most apocolyptic cults withdraw from the rest of humanity when their predictions of doom fail to come true - it allows them to more easily shield themselves from unpleasant criticism.
The CAGW cult's leadership has a problem - they can't withdraw - so the next best thing is to silence via intimidation the people who might cause the rank and file of the cult to question their devotion to the leadership.
OF course, it's going to go nowhere. The Earth's climate will continue it uncontrolled mild variations and the cult can't suppress the dissemination of that data.
AGW is a fact although Bush rednecks deny it all day long.
Personally, I say its a problem with no solution. So lie back and watch climate catastrophe take place. I plan to.
Oh Shreeky...if only I'd have scrolled down just a bit further! Who is working your mouthparts today?
PS: christfag!
Dodge.
Greenpeace is implicitly calling for their opponents to be sanctioned by the state.
So are you defending their position or not?
Whether climate change is brought about natural causes or enabled by man....does that justify some climate alarmist to call for burning down skeptics homes?
Just askin'
"However, there's also responsibility that goes with freedom of speech - which is based around honesty and transparency. Freedom of speech does not apply to misinformation and propaganda---whoops, let me just adjust my baby harp seal mask."
Yeah, no shit. Greenpeace did not just f*cking say that did they. That's gall right there.
Well, if we ever do get a hardline right-wing police-state government that decides to make an example out of them, I hope the persecution uses that in its opening statements to the court, for the lulz.

Is that better in terms of pronunciation?
I'm going with "too-chill-LAY".
"Ah-SWEEP-aye...."
"Ah SWEEP aye..."
That's du-MASS to you.
Your comment contains a word that is too long (50 characters).
No it doesn't.
Fucking squirrels.
Here's how this works. Hit & Run translates each comment into German, then back into English. If any of your words is a fifty-character word in German, it triggers a rejection notice.
As it should!
Some blogs, of course, translate comments into Welsh, which would make a fifty-character limit entirely untenable. In Welsh, indefinite articles alone use more than fifty letters.
YOUR COMMENT GROWS TIRESOME
Good. Good. You know, Episiarch. You have reasoned it out.

So, Greenpeace is finally going to STFU?
Free speech is all right and good, unless you disagree with Greenpeace progressives about climate change anything, the organization helpfully explains.
Come on man, get it right.
Not that political tshirts are worth a damn, but this one is pretty good:

I like it, but it pains me to think how many O-bots will have the point sail right over their head.
They'll probably think it's some strange endorsement of the Zero by Wolverine.
All the better.
Fuck Senate Republicans for not doing the right thing because they care more about reelection than what's right for the nation..
Fuck Greenpeace.
Fuck those two cops.
Hooray for Julian Heicklen.
Fuck the economists who refused to see reality.
Fuck Democrats more concerned with reelection than the constitutionality of laws.
I don't smoke weed, but to those that do: enjoy!
Sorry I've been gone all week.
Banjos is 4 weeks pregnant.
Congratulations you old dog!
Congrats to Banjos as well!
BTW, I have a suggestion for the name:
Robert'); DROP TABLE Students;
A SQL injection joke?!? I don't know whether to laugh or cringe.
Has SQL injection been relevant since 2005? I can't think of a single web framework where it's still an issue.
On second thought, there's probably a ton of internal systems that are still vulnerable to it.
Only if you're a chump. So it's probably still relevant for you.
Your mistake is in assuming schools use the most up-to-date formatting and technology.
^^Anybody who got that joke^^
Banjos is 4 weeks pregnant.
When was that wedding again?
Don't slut shame me! Ah, just kidding. Slut shame away!
As long as he eventually made an honest woman of you.
He used the old "condoms are a tyranny against the freedom of my penis" line didn't he?
Congrats to you both:)
Congratulations!
Congrats, congrats!
Mad props to Banjos! Woot!
Let us know when the naming rights are ready to go for bids.
Nicolas Matthew Gillispe Welch Sloppy. Has a ring to it.
Let us know when the naming rights are ready to go for bids.
We actually discussed that last night. We want to offer a middle name up for bid. It can be a corporate or personal name. First names are also available, but that may be considerably more expensive.
I suggest Julian. As in Apostate.
Dude. "Tiberius". There is no other option. I'm gravely disappointed that I even have to point this out.
I dunno. Kyra Reason Doritos Spicer has a sweet ring to it...for the right price.
"James Tiberius Kirk Spicer"
"Baron Harkkonen Spicer"
Might I humbly suggest:
President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho Spicer
As libertarian parents I suppose the president part could be considered optional.
"Baron Harkkonen Spicer"
The Spicer must flow!
I'd like to second that. "Reason Doritos" is such a catchy middle name.
On that note, does anybody know how we would go about setting up a bid process for the middle name rights?
Epi, could you or one of your programming brethren help us set that up? For a small %age, of course.
Sure. Send all your bids to me, and I will be sure that I win. Tiberius it is!
eBay
eBay
They won't let me set the auction for longer than 10 days. I need this to run for several months to get the right exposure.
If you do it online you'll just get joke bids.
How about Zod? Imagine years from now your child as the sole ruler of a powerful multinational conglomorate, calling in the employees and staff to his spacious office and demanding that they kneel.
I feel like a weirdo suggesting a name for the baby of someone I don't even know but "Fist" seems appropriate.
That's too obvious. If you're going to go obvious, Shatner.
Say, what about a name like the old days? Like Carolus Martellus, which actually means Charles the Hammer. So Name "the" Something.
Like Thomas the Beastmaster.
Screw that. Krull.
Not bad. Everybody in my immediate family has a name that starts with "K."
Krull R. Spicer
If you go with Krull, no middle or last names. Just Krull.
Until George Lucas ruined the name for me, I wanted to call a daughter Anna-kin.
He probably did one of my unborn children a favor.
"Kraken Spicer"
When you take the kid out of their crib, you can say "release the Kraken!"
Now I like that one.
Oh, don't you worry, the Kraken will release soon enough.
Briliant!
Hercules Rembrandt Q. Einstein Rockefeller
Yahoo Google Spicer.

I had a friend who son's middle name is Zefram. True story.
If the price stays low, I might buy "Goldman-Sachs" or "Department of Labor" at the last minute.

I had a friend named Seven in high school. That was before the movie though.

Bloodstorm.
Congrats! If any of the ultrasounds look like the fetus has a top hat, you are required by law to post. Just so you know.
How fecund of you! Congratulations!
Congrats, old boy! Oh, and the glowing mother-to-be too! She is glowing, right?
I hope it doesn't look like Warty.
You mean like this?
http://www.freakingnews.com/Al.....-60885.asp
"Banjos is 4 weeks pregnant."
Has she chosen the father's name yet?
[slow clap]
Sloopy, Banjos, you have been warned.
That looks like a picture from the upcoming Human Centipede III.
Some chick told me a couple weeks ago I needed to rent Human Centipede. Watched the trailer on UTube. I'm gonna smack her upside the head next time I see her.
They forgot "boogers"
... Hobbit
Congrats. Babies are awesome insanity.
Congratulations to you both!
Awesome. Might I suggest you name him Caligula?
That's assuming it's a boy. You'll expose it on a rock if it's a girl, obviously.
Warty you should write a book on modern parenting!
One step closer to Idiocracy.
Your birth was a giant leap.
Dude, you are a colossal asshole. It's one thing to argue politics with people and spout off your idiotic bullshit. But to rip on someone for having a kid and being happy about it? FUCK YOU!
Congratulations to you both!
... Hobbit
Congratulations!
Congratulations sloop & banjos. My wife and I are expecting our own little hellraiser in about 11 weeks.
Nice!
With unemployment claims at a three-month high and home sales down, economists are turning a bit dour on the economy's prospects.
bad economy = Obama loses.
bad economy = Obama loses
Not if Mitt Romney has anything to say about it.
The jobless claims number is a great exercise in falsifying the headlines.
See, the headline was "jobless claims down slightly."
But, they were only down after they adjusted the previous report up.
Its a great double dip. First, they get credit for the lower early number when it is released, then they get credit for an even lower number this time, even though both numbers are higher than first reported.
But no, there's no monkeying around with this data, none at all.
That shit is straight out of 1984. The Ministry of Truth is alive and well.
Mark Twain told us statistics lie back in the 1880s.
Get modern, dude.
It's always struck me as pretty stupid to fudge these things, since people know whether it's hard to get/keep a job right now regardless of what the data says.
They've been revising the claims upward nearly every week for some time now. The ones that cause Wall Street to take a shit are when the predicted number is WAY off, like it was a couple weeks ago.
I like the pic of the old guy. I'd like to buy him a drink.
Cindy Sheehan due in court for refusal to pay taxes.
Nice.
PLEASE send her to the slammer. PLEASE.
No, PLEASE say it's legal to stop paying taxes as long as you strongly disagree with government policy, PLEASE.
TORONTO - People who live as the opposite sex should not have to undergo sex-change surgery before they can change their gender on their birth certificates, Ontario's Human Rights Tribunal has decided.
In a decision hailed as an important victory for the transgendered, the tribunal found the province's "transsexual surgery" requirement to be discriminatory.
WTF? Change your Birth Certificate? Really? It's a Human Rights violation to not purge the historical record of my prior gender identity?
My birth certificate gets my sex correct, but it doesn't record my true name, which is Napoleon Bonaparte.
I linked it earlier here, but have y'all seen Jill Lepore's horrible New Yorker feature story on guns-are-bad-mmmkay? Some highlights: "When carrying a concealed weapon for self-defense is understood not as a failure of civil society, to be mourned, but as an act of citizenship, to be vaunted, there is little civilian life left."
I think my favorite part of the article is when she describes the gun shop/range she goes to for "research": "It feels like a clubhouse, except, if you've never been to a gun shop before, that part feels not quite licit, like a porn shop."
I can't bring myself to care what Jill LePore thinks about, cares about, or writes about.
Jill LePore is going to have to choose to live in those cities that are oh so much safer because they have banned non-state ownership of firearms. I wish her luck.
NYC is pretty safe. It's one of those examples that gives gun control nuts the illusion of correlation = causation.
America New York City is a whorehouse, where the revolutionary progressive ideals of your forefathers mayor are corrupted and sold in alleys by vendors of capitalism nannyism..
Sloop...have you given any thought to my suggestion....Dwayne Spicer....kinda just rolls off the tongue doesn't it?!
Only if the Mtn Dew people are willing to pony up some coin.
Personally, I like XBox360 Spicer.*
*If it's a boy, of course. If a girl, it becomes Wii Spicer.
Or how about "Euston Sexton." Someone forwarded me one of his emails at work.
Jif Danger Spicer
I'm too lazy to argue the statistic right now. I'll see your NYC and raise you a Detroit and Washington D.C.
America Detroit is a whorehouse where the revolutionary progressive ideals of your forefathers unions and race hustlers are corrupted and sold in alleys by vendors of capitalism cronyism..
America Detroit is a whorehouse where the revolutionary progressive ideals of your forefathers unions and race hustlers are corrupted and sold in alleys by vendors of capitalism cronyism..
FIFM
America Washington DC is a whorehouse where the revolutionary ideals of your forefathers are corrupted and sold in alleys by vendors of capitalism assholes who are more concerned with their political careers than with liberty...
NYC has had onerous gun control for decades. The lower crime trend is quite recent.
I don't think she understands what "civil society" really is.
Here's a hint: Civil, in this context, is not a synonym for genteel or polite or sophisticated.
In fact, a citizenry that is willing and able to defend itself is an essential element of civil society.
Also, you don't stop being a "civilian" when you have a gun. This is the TEAM BLUE side of what we get from cops going around calling non-cops "civilians," as if they aren't such themselves.
OBEY!
Put on the glasses!
Why the Gun is Civilization
One thing that interested me is the drop she notes in the number of households that have at least one gun, despite rising gun ownership in terms of total number of guns in private homes. I wonder how much of this can be attributed to the rise in number of households/decline in number of persons per household--and, in turn, how that affects the likelihood of women and minorities to own guns (especially minorities, who are more likely to live somewhere like Chicago, NYC or DC where it is difficult or impossible to keep a gun for self-defense).
Interesting catch. I'd like to note that it may also have to do with the increased # of households that are inhabited by illegal immigrants (most states still forbid landlords from asking the legal status of potential residents). Since they cannot legally purchase guns, they force the %age down IME.
Another great point. This kind of thing ends up bothering me, as an editor myself, almost more than the stupid leftiness of the whole thing. I would be embarrassed if analysis that half-assed made it thought a copy desk I was running. A good editor should have called her out at the very least on the change in household composition since the widespread availability of divorce.
I don't feel that way in either a gun store or a porn shop. She needs to take that stick out of her ass.
There are so many places one can go with this subject, none of them wholesome.
Does wholesome even exist anymore?
I don't feel that way in either a gun store or a porn shop.
I know, right? I thought this was such a sad comment on, not so much sticks up asses, but what it must actually feel like all the time to be so sheeplike and pathetic. Always looking over your shoulder hoping what you're doing is licit.
Those kind of people are all about pretension anyways.
In fact the whole reason she wrote the article has nothing to do with giving her opinion about something. It's about seeking approval from other pretensious a**holes like herself.
pretentious. freakin' touchscreens.

It really pisses me off when the media claims that advocating jury nullification is calling on jurors to disregard the law.
The jury is the direct exercise of the sovereign power of the people, and as such, a juror outranks the judge, the prosecutor, and the whole damned government including the legislature when it comes to deciding whether a conviction is just in the particular circumstances of the case presented to him.
The government has been steadily undermining and usurping the power of the jury for well over a century, and Heicklen is a hero for reminding us that the government is NOT the sovereign power in our country
