Several Fearless Christians
Newt Gingrich's Faith Leaders Dream Team is ready to rumble:
Speaker Newt Gingrich has unveiled his Faith Leaders Dream Team — rallying several fearless Christians including Don Wildmon, Tim and Beverly LaHaye, George Barna, JC Watts, Chuck Norris, Mat Staver and others as he takes on the the radical secularism of the Obama Administration.
The Gingrich Faith Leaders Coalition is Newt Gingrich's official advisory coalition on issues pertaining to life, marriage, and religious liberty.
Lord knows Gingrich needs as much advice about marriage as he can get. Why Chuck Norris? Because Steven Seagal is Buddhist. Duh.

First!
Shouldn't that be "Fist!"?
Lame.
Secularists vs theocrats.
That is the real Team Blue vs Team Red fight.
Quibbling about a couple of points on the top rate is a sideshow for most Americans (but not Libertarians).
Meh. Its a sideshow. Won't result in much, if any, actual lawmaking. Irritating, but its Secular Statists v. Faith Statists, from our perspective. Part of the intramural squabble over whether the jackboot is on the right foot, or the left.
The tax code, on the other hand, is fight that matters.
The tax code, on the other hand, is fight that matters.
Which is why it is given only lip service.
But the tax code is just a way to pay for spending priorities. That is why I hated Bush so much - he jacked spending up astronomically thus insuring future tax increases.
The spending always come before the tax increases.
"The tax code, on the other hand, is fight that matters."
I've read that a lot of the organized Christian right got its kickstart in opposition to tax policy, i.e., the IRS getting involved in sectarian schools and such. So you might have stumbled onto an insight here...
NUH-UH! Liberty is all about making sure the government doesn't interfere with us winning the KULTURE WAR, YEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWW!!!!
No, it's secular theocrats versus mystical theocrats.
Will Jim & Tammy Faye Baker be on the team too?
I'd help, but the worms have worked their way into my skull, so my input might be all that valuable.
I am so disappointed in you, Chuck Noris.
More or less than when he supported Huckabee?
Gah.
Lots of white guys ?
female represented ?
black represented ?
Asshole represented, right between the two cheeks.
I like how the token woman and token black are positioned symmetrically, it makes me less afraid of them.
You do have to keep the black man away from the white wimmins, you know.
Wait, what?
"...radical secularism of the Obama Administration."
_
muslims aint secularists
Looks like the back cover of a metal album.

Foreign Diplomats Congratulates Kim Jong Un
Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- The dear respected Kim Jong Un Tuesday received a floral basket and a congratulatory letter from the diplomatic corps here on the 70th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.
Russian Ambassador to the DPRK Valery E. Sukhinin, doyen of the corps, conveyed the basket and letter to DPRK Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Un received floral baskets, congratulatory letters and gifts from the diplomatic envoys of Nigeria, Egypt, Cambodia, the charge d'affaires ad interim of the Syrian embassy, the Mongolian embassy, the missions of the WHO, the World Food Programme and the United Nations Children's Fund and the UNDP and the Economic Cooperation Bureau of Libya here.
Too bad there's not a "Fuck you, asshole" bouquet on the internet. I'd send him one. But I guess florists got better things to do than get shot.
I thought the Un-dictator was assassinated? Or was that Whitney Houston?
What? Too soon?
Famous people are there solely for our amusement. It's always OK to laugh about the death of a celebrity.
They exist for Joan Rivers to remain hilarious.
I mean that. She's the best.
Cool!
A fine roundup of fascists.
The dear respected Kim Jong Un
1st official title! DRINK!!!
What purpose does this serve?
Oh, shit! They have Norris? We're doomed!
Quick! Someone resurrect Teddy Roosevelt! He's the only man capable of going up against the Chuck.
Norris may have fists of adamantium, but Teddy will just bash Norris upside the head with polar bears and solid blocks of testosterone.
Wait... what's the topic?
Why Chuck Norris?
Dear God, look behind you!
Why Chuck Norris?
Dear God, look behind you!
wow, he roundhouse kicked FRH so hard the squirrels double posted!
By not wearing ties, I see that George Barna and Jim Garlow will be battling over the role of Donnie Wahlberg.
Including Chuck Norris might be the worst thing Newt Gingrich has ever done in his life. The internet had just started to recover from the 2 year long Chuck Norris Joke earthquake. This could be one of those aftershocks that are worse than the original quake.
The Octagon ruled!
*nods with approval*
Someone should check into the validity of this. Newt's head is not that small in real life.
or his gut...
Faith Leaders Dream Team Activate! Shape of...failed presidential candidate!
JC Watts. Why hasn't he ever run for president? He's fairly popular among the party faithful and can handle himself on TV, apparently.
JC's on the dream team because nobody prays more flamboyantly than a football player.
would run for President himself, but he wasn't born in the United States, he dropped in from Planet Awesome.
would be so popular, he would get 100% of the vote. From the entire world.
Oh...I remember this movie poster. This is the one where the town hires the elite team of religious advisors to defend their town against a group of rabble-rousing libertines lead by a little Jewish guy with a Mexican accent...I liked the Japanese version better.
The Seven Samurai Sanctimonious Asshats
Ironic that the Christian Dream Team assembled by Newt, under the guise of standing up for religious liberty, is really just a front for anti-Mormonism.
I'm all for anti-Mormonism.
I'm not for the anti-liberty stance of some on the nightmare team, though.
Shouldn't any Christian Dream Team include Jesus? He can play both the 2 and 3.
Jesus is their coach. Too bad they don't listen to him...
Don Wildmon sounds like a Reggae band.
Who the hell is he, anyway?
Sanctimonious prick who made his name as such during the Clinton years. He ran some fundy activist group back then.
BTW anyone who is famous for using the phrase "race-hustling poverty pimps" to refer to race-hustling poverty pimps can't be all bad. J C Watts has his merits.
Chuck Norris has his merits, as well. He has supported Ron Paul, even.
The rest of the list, now that I've looked up who they are, are downright scary theofascists.
Oh for fuck sake.
Nice pic. Nothing says serious like 'summer blockbuster movie poster.'
This is like American Idol with a broken filtering process. This is what's left in our search for the next president? Really?
William Hung?
I was wondering whatever happened to that goofball Donald Wildmon...
For many years there has been a debate, if Jesus were here on earth in the flesh, what political affiliation would he join? Some would make the point that while Jesus was on earth they viewed him as liberal.
What are your thoughts?
