Updates From Florida's Romneypalooza
Tampa, Fla - There is a weird mix of people outside of Mitt Romney's victory party here in Tampa. There are Tampa Bay Lightning fans all decked out in silver and black garb, a mostly well dressed crowd of Romney supporters milling about, there are PETA protesters decked out in pig costumes passing out flyers about farm subsidies and there are the usual handful of Occupiers.
Before you even get inside there is an senior with a cane inspecting bags as people come. Once you get by him the professionalism of the Romney operation really stands out. At the door there are volunteers slapping "Romney" stickers on all attendees as they enter. In the center of the check-in area there is a huge merchandise table selling all kinds of Romney wares.
I talked to this couple, the Pennoyers, after they were finished picking through the wares the campaign was selling. They were very happy with Romney's inevitable victory here.
Outside there were Billionaire For Bush types with suits and hats hanging around and then there was this Occupier who called Romney a fascist because he said America needs a "CEO in chief." He told me that they have people inside and plans for after the event. It was not clear if actual Occupiers made it by Romney's lines of security before the event.

education has served the quoted Occutard poorly. Romney a fascist? Really? The man actually put his own money at risk in building businesses; he did not take mine by force. Wow...higher education is rapidly proving an even bigger failure than K-12 education.
Yeah but see, he said to run the presidency like a CEO. CEOs are what businesses have. And fascism is the putting together of government and business. Knowhatimean?
thanks for the translation; I've struggled with Occu-speak. On the other hand, lots of folks have talked about running the country like a business. Who better than a guy who has actually been CEO? We've already tried having a legislator, ahem...an organizer in charge. Not going to well.
Tim is an anahchist who it seems hadn't fully reasoned why he shouldn't be for Romney.
He obviously doesn't believe in going to the fascist dentist/orthodontist either
Or the fascist thinking things through either. I mean beyond scrawling with magic marker on a piece of cardboard, of course.
Yeah, there is an interesting contradiction in his thinking there. He doesn't support Romney because Romney will turn the government into a corporation, but he doesn't like government at all? In which case, why should he care who is president, if all politicians and government is corrupt?
Because these occutard anarchists are actually "anarchists".
They are Team BLUE cheerleaders trying to divert attention AWAY from government being the problem and trying to blame TEH KORPORASHUNS!!11one!!
But first and foremost, they are Team BLUE cheerleaders. Any platitudes they give towards not supporting, and continuing to support, Team DONKEY is is nothing more than empty rhetoric.
Romney a fascist? Really?
Yeah?
Just for example, his "business" experience is in finance capital, a pseudo-market that fills politically generated niches in law and regulation, not normally evolved gaps in demand. So when called on recently to "defend" Bain qua capitalism, Romney did it by comparing what he did at Bain to the Mussolini-job Obama did on GM, and not to any actual free-market phenomenon. Because he has no fucking idea what such a thing might be. Because his experience and understanding of capitalism is fascist.
And yeah, that's not what any Occupant means by "fascist." They mean "Republican" and/or "Jew."
But still. Romney is what he is.
That just makes him stupid, not a fascist.
People use these terms way too generously.
WE GOT CONSISTENT GROUND PRESENCE IN OCCUPY TAMPA. I BEEN SLEEPIN ON THE GROUND FOR YEARS.
That idiot wouldn't know fascism if it hit him with a rubber truncheon.
