Steven Greenhut on How California Wastes Taxpayer Dollars
One would think that the California Assembly's Transportation Committee would be deeply concerned with planning cost-effective ways to meet the transportation needs of a growing population during tough economic times. As usual, Greenhut writes, California legislators are lousy at serving the public but great at self-aggrandizement and catering to the special-interest groups that assure their re-election.
