Policing Their Own

|

Dallas, Texas, police officer Clayton Brown has been suspended from the force three times since 2004. The first time, he kicked a handcuffed man. The second, he used racial and sexual slurs in an email to a girlfriend. The third was for harassing a second girlfriend. The department finally fired Brown for lying about the death of his grandmother to get time off. But a judge has ordered the department to reinstate Brown. The judge, however, did require Brown to undergo anger management, racial and gender sensitivity, and honesty training.
