Why is Mitt pretending to be Jewish? And who shot Chris Christie in the neck with a tranquilizer dart?

    1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

I haven't been paying attention to the Republican race lately. Why is Rick Perry saying "oops"?

      1. Eduard van Haalen   14 years ago

I think it's because in one debate he froze and forgot one of the govt agencies he wanted to abolish.

        1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

Ha ha. Perry should be saying, "Kill it with...that one chemical process...ancients used to think it was an element?...uh..."

        2. Ice Nine   14 years ago

...and said "oops" when he did.

      2. rather   14 years ago

That wasnt "oops", it was Sandusky promising to vote for Perry

        1. rather   14 years ago

Fartinstein is a big producer of farts in jars. The best time to catch him is after he rips apart a Taco Bell.

    2. MiNGe   14 years ago

      JOOOS!!!11!1

    3. Ice Cream Bunny   14 years ago

Why is Mitt pretending to be Jewish?

He'd pretend to be Ed Gein, if he genuinely believed for a nano-second it'd cinch the nomination for him.

      1. rather   14 years ago

        lol

        1. rather   14 years ago

      1. Bette Midler   14 years ago

        "PRESENT!!!"

      2. Margaret Cho's Ass   14 years ago

        "Present!"

        1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

          A Margaret Cho reference? Wow.

          1. SugarFree   14 years ago

They have to throw a bone to the unfunny fake-lesbian crowd once in a while.

            1. Almanian   14 years ago

              Hillary Clinton?

              1. alienrants   14 years ago

Am I too late to throw in a Chaz Bono reference, here?

                1. Chaz Bono   14 years ago

I'm built like Tor Johnson... and I used to be a chick.

                  True story!

  2. heller   14 years ago

Why are Perry and Romney both drawn to look like Ron Paul? Is this some kind of deep editorial cartoon metaphor I'm just not getting?

    1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

I think so. Apparently in the presence of massive, underfunded entitlement programs, even mainstream Republicans become more fiscally conservative (hence, the more Perry and Romney look like the Good Doctor).

Oil Paintings can add a special touch to any decor and can come in a variety of designs and subjects. These can be a great way showcase your style and personality, they are great ways to collect, display and appreciate your art. Painting can be found with everything from fruits, flowers, boats, water scenes, to old houses, and farm animals. Some abstract art can even look a little indescribable and make a very interesting conversation piece.

Finding the perfect place to display your paintings. Art work can be placed almost anywhere in your home, or office. This is a personal decision, and your art work can be placed anywhere that would work for you and the work in your room. Large empty walls, areas above fire places, on the walls above dressers, above the head of the bed, and above hall tables seem to be a popular place to display art work. Keep in mind when deciding which piece to use consider the size you would need, the colors that you have around your room, and of course the use of the room. You would not want it to interfere with or take away from your other art, or pictures in your room

Colors and contrasts of the room should be considered trying to develop a color pallet among the colors in the walls, furniture, and other surrounding. Most Oil Paintings have a lot of colors in their pallet, so making a painting work usually does not require a lot. Try to avoid using a brightly colored paining in a brightly colored room, this will cause them to clash and seem to loud for the room. belstaff jackets uk

By using your best judgment and a few guidance tips you should be able to find the perfect painting for your needs. A room is usually already decorated and furnished before adding of a painting. Several paintings of various sizes can be used in the same room, even similar paintings can be groups together on a larger wall. Always keep in mind the style, and decor. As a decorative piece paintings can bring a lot of character into the decor of the room. They tell a story, or show your support for a cause. Always keep in mind that more is not always better. A few well placed paintings throughout the home or office, should be enough to complete any decor.

Once you have select a theme, style, and location you will need to select a size, do you want a smaller accent piece accent a larger piece, or other artwork in your home, are you going to be hanging the piece on the wall or leaning against a mantle. Larger pieces are no doubt going to be the center of the room, but will it take away from the rest of the decor, will in interfere with your other art work. Taking this into consideration will keep you from purchasing a painting that makes your walls seem cluttered or not fit in your decor. Paintings can add a special quality to any decor, and can add that personnel touch that your room may have been missing.

  5. Alan Vanneman   14 years ago

Yes, Oil Paintings can add a special touch to any decor and can come in a variety of designs and subjects. But I have to ask: Is Henry Payne the natural son of David Koch?

    1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

      Well done, Vanneman.

    2. capitol l   14 years ago

Is Henry Payne the natural son of David Koch?

      I don't know.

But what I do know is that Payne's inability to contribute anything meaningful or humorous coupled with his obvious lack of artistic talent do remind me of a certain commenter named Alan Vanneman.

Maybe you're the daddy of this abomination.

      1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

I'm sorry, capitol l. All I'm hearing is a request for a graphic novel written by Vanneman and drawn by Henry Payne.

        1. JoJo Zeke   14 years ago

If you can get Payne to make his style just a skitch more Bill Sienkiewicz-y: I'm in.

          1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

            I'm in, too.

        2. capitol l   14 years ago

I've always thought, and am now convinced, that your sunny and upbeat disposition is a mask hiding a dark soul.

Well, the mask has slipped, friend.

          1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

Indeed. In fact, I have the bitter scowl of Thaddeus Russell in the ad for the Reason cruise.

            1. capitol l   14 years ago

The fact that you don't have AdBlockPlus makes you seem all the more sinister.

              1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

Well, the banner ads aren't that bad. I just block (shudder) pop-ups.

  6. JoJo Zeke   14 years ago

Why are they called the "Friday Funnies," anyway? Hipster douchebag irony gone horribly awry, maybe...?

    1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

We've all taken sarcasm too far sometimes.

      1. JoJo Zeke   14 years ago

We've all taken sarcasm too far sometimes.

Ah. You mean like somebody deadpanning phrases along the lines of "all-star cast," or "We're doing this for you, you know," or "the lovely and talented Kathy Griffin"...?

        1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

Indeed. Although Alan Rickman could deadpan all that and it would seem somehow necessary.

          1. Alan Rickman   14 years ago

The comic is just there to stimulate the comment section, which generally provides for the laughter.

  7. WWNGD   14 years ago

Damn it, I can't come up with a reason to complain about this cartoon. It isn't that I like it, and it isn't because I don't want to be miserable first thing in the morning, I just can't come up with something. Damn it.
Well, have a good weekend anyway Reasonites.

  8. Eduard van Haalen   14 years ago

The Frankenstein monster is always good for laugh.

Was it Payne who portrayed Clinton as Frankenstein with the Independent Counsel law as the monster?

    1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

Payne draws the Frankenstein monster at least once a month, it seems. You can tell he has a lot of fun drawing that bugger.

  9. Lord Humungus   14 years ago

    Monocle cat is not amused.

    1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

Ha ha, monocle cat looks amused.

      1. The Art-P.O.G.   14 years ago

Whatever monocle cat is preparing to utter, it begins with "I say..."

        1. Monocle Cat   14 years ago

I say, I can haz cheezburger?

      2. BakedPenguin   14 years ago

        ...monocle cat looks amused.

Well, sure. He just evicted some poor mice from their slum hole and then ate them.

  10. Eduard van Haalen   14 years ago

Payne does some other cartoons which are more worthy of Reason:

A real Friday Funny would be Loder's review of the new Twilight movie. I bet that would be hilarious. A honeymoon rape, a demonic baby, and lycanthropic pedophilia. Man, that movie has it all.
