The talk is sponsored by the group Liberty at Boston University.

The Declaration of Independents: How Libertarian Politics Can Fix What's Wrong With America
By Nick Gillespie and Matt Welch
Published by PublicAffairs
Everywhere in America, the forces of digitization, innovation, and personalization are expanding our options and bettering the way we live—everywhere except in politics, which is dominated by two political parties whose ever-more-polarized rhetorical positions mask a mutual interest in maintaining a stranglehold on power.
The Declaration of Independents is a compelling and extremely entertaining manifesto on behalf of a system better suited to the future--one structured by the essential libertarian principles of free minds and free markets. Gillespie and Welch profile libertarian innovators, identify the villains propping up the ancien regime, and take aim at do-something government policies that hurt most of those they claim to protect. Their vision will resonate with a wide swath of frustrated citizens and young voters, to whom old tribal allegiances, prejudices, and hang-ups about everything from hearing a foreign language on the street to gay marriage to drug use simply do not make sense.
Order The Declaration of Independentshere. It will also be available at the event.
Reception to follow: Please join us after the event for refreshments and conversation with our guest.

At my last job I spent 3 months commuting into Boston from western MA every day. If I never have to go to that shithole again I could die reasonably happy.
The big toll plaza at the intersection with 95 is stupid. They could have not even had it there and just had everyone pay at the exits like they do the rest of the pike.
Why is there a ban on gamboling about plain and forest, WTF?
Or am I asking too difficult of a question? Do you want released from the plague of self-examination of your supposedly anti-aggression religio-economic sophistry?

Hey, thanks for not coming out to the sane end of the state.
I'd be satisfied with the insane end of the state as long as I didn't have to drive into Boston. Worst road system of any city in the US. Period.
The worst is that first big toll plaza just outside the city on the Mass Pike. If you don't have FastLane or EZPass, you can get fucked there.
And the Big Dig only made it worse. Boston could have had their own space station on Mars by now.

I reverse commute, and it isn't so bad.

Also, thanks for coming during business hours.
Free gamboling?
No?
Then we need to address the aggression behind enforcement of the gamboling ban.
What's this "we" stuff, Kemotherapy?
LOL
Besides the state lotteries, everyone knows the only place you can gambol is already owned by Indians.
"everyone knows the only place you can gambol is already owned by Indians."
Well, we do have some meadows outside the city.
That would be illegal gamboling. You need a license to run a casino.

Only if we can touch The Jacket. We've heard it holds miraculous powers.
In fact, we know it can release us from the Plague of rectal - oh please, Almighty Jacket, we beseech thee!

THERE ARE NO ANAL FISSURES WITHOUT RECTAL
He goes scatological (same as libertarian logic, apparently) when somebody brings those government-enforced borders into the light of day.
The tribe has voted you off the reservation.
Pack up your teepee and GTFO.
I think I can not accept gay marriage.
Still waiting for the Texas visit...
I'm hoping for Houston, but I'm bound to be disappointed.
they'll probably go to austin- like everyone else from out of state. They could hit Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin in a few days.
When are you guys coming to Independents Hall?
Also - when did you guys write a book?
Short notice, bro?
And how about people who have day jobs?
Apparently we all live in our parents basements.
Aaaaarg, I would definitely come but I'm swamped at work!
Not too swamped to visit the chat room.
It's a forum.
I got to see Nick and Matt in DC - scheduled a business trip to coincide with their presentation. And Nick did not wear the Jacket. Dammit.
Now he is up in our neck of the woods and schedules a talk for Teh Youts during Skool hours. Dammit.
Nick, tweet out where you're drinking later so maybe we can touch the Jacket.
