Nick Gillespie Talks Honest Budget Act B.S. on CNN's Out Front with Erin Burnett
Last Friday, I was on CNN's Out Front with Erin Burnett, talking about the "Honest Budget Act," which is being pushed by Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine). The HBA would make some modest improvements on the flim-flammery that goes on in the federal budget process but is best understood as precisely the sort of b.s. legislation that Congress wastes its time (and our money) with rather than address real issues. Like, you know, actually passing a goddamned budget in the first place.

I love me some Erin Burnett. I think she was flirting with "The Jacket".
Gillespie, like so many other Reason staffers are now big stars. Hell, I'd flirt with the jacket just to get a ride in the limo.
Is that what kids are calling anal sex?
I thought it was called a Santorum.
Good job putting the moron with the stupid talking points in his place.
Anon bot here with another 0%-substance-guaranteed post. Jonathan Prince = Nerd! Wow

Many thanks to The Jacket for cutting through the crap in a manner that the regular folk can understand.
The Jacket abides
Substance-free post, as usual.
PS The Jacket was quite reserved on the last RedEye appearance. Step it up - it's always better when you're in the fore on that show.
Erin Burnett is a babe. That is all.
Erin Burnett is a babe. That is all.
You don't have to tell me twice.
Was this asshole Jonathon Prince dropped on his head when he was young?
No, he was dropped on his head every day throughout his entire life.
Now that other guy, there's a man of Substance. I bet he makes more than me.
Why can't they ever find anyone to debate you whose only skill seems to be sticking to the substance-free talking points?
I was pleasantly surprised to hear the host challenge the other guy to state what's actually wrong with a balanced budget amendment. She actually said something like "the government should spend what it takes in."
Then the other guy offered some flimsy "Congress should just get along!" BS. Good job, Nick.
OK, Krugman doubters, tell me why he's wrong about being right. http://nyti.ms/qJRaOQ And no theory. Facts. Evidence. Observed phenomena.
I'm glad to see some people noticing that those of us who have taken the basic theory of the liquidity trap seriously have done very well at calling the economy these past three years. This was big stuff: predicting that a tripling of the monetary base would not be inflationary,
If someone has to tell you why this is wrong, I'm gonna have to assume that mommy does the shopping for you.
I'm sorry but that screen cap looks like two guys about to cream their underwear.
Makes me content in my decision not to subscribe to the local cable monopoly.
