And read Gillespie and Welch's latest op-ed today in the Los Angeles Times. They discuss that whatever you think of the Tea Party's issues, they are not only the reason we're even discussing the debt ceiling, they represent the future of a politics driven not by two lumbering, unresponsive parties but by empassioned and empowered single-issue groups. A snippet:
It is now easier than ever for alienated ideological blocs to foist their single issue onto the table over the objections of politicians who perpetuate the status quo. It's becoming more and more clear to tea party activists and their analogues on issues from education reform to drug legalization that success in politics is directly proportional to independence from the two major political parties.

I don't like the cover art on the book. There, I said it. The colors look like they would run, and they spelled independence wrong.
The book jacket should be leather, and you should get a free pair of Poindexter glasses with each copy.
Please tell me it was the Times that edited out "ham" from that.
HA!!! How long before that 20% off on Newt's book goes to 50%?
Do Gillespie and Welch have a new book out or something?
Christ, non-fiction book covers are ugly these days.
How can politics fix anything? Isn't that the point of libertarianism?
I took a shit in San Francisco once, but not in a outside doorway like the locals do.
Thanks for the event on Sunday guys. I enjoyed it. I gained five pounds grazing the chocolate bar.
