As you know, libertarian-leaning Republican Gary Johnson was excluded from the recent CNN-sponsored GOP presidential debate in New Hampshire. But thanks to the magic of the Innertubes, he was able to answer all the questions posed. You can watch that here:

Link via the Twitter feed of Doug Mataconis. Watch Nick Gillespie and I answer the "Gary Johnson or Ron Paul?" question from yesterday's "Ask a Libertarian" marathon here. And check out our full Gary Johnson page.

If he did this in front of a green screen we could have at least digitally inserted him onto the stage.

  2. Matt Felch   15 years ago

He needs to work on his delivery and eloquence, which is a shame, because I really like him so far.

    1. Mike M.   15 years ago

Me too. It's sad, but the harsh truth is that his big chance was the FNC debate, and he blew it, plain and simple.

    2. Fatty Bolger   15 years ago

Maybe so, but you don't get better at those things by sitting on the sidelines. I'm glad he's doing this.

    "Johnson Inserts Himself..."
    You guys are bad.

    1. squarooticus   15 years ago

      Better than "Wiener pulls out".

    2. wylie   15 years ago

I should've known I was way too late to point this out in the other dick-thread. Fucking errands.

  4. Citizen Donny   15 years ago

What do you need that for, Dude?

  5. shrike   15 years ago

You're fucked, Gary, when they let Alan Keyes* in and keep you out.

    * recent name change.

  6. Sudden   15 years ago

The fact that he chose Elvis over Cash makes me skeptical of his wisdom and decision making skills.

Admittedly, he needs to demonstrate a bit more passion. Not an over the top RP type, but just something a little more forceful.

    1. Pro Libertate   15 years ago

Elvis moved up in the hierarchy when the world learned that he was a fanatical Python fan.

      I'm not making that up.

      1. Sudden   15 years ago

A fair point. But moved above Cash? I don't know about that.

        1. Sudden   15 years ago

And in regards to the blackberry vs. iPhone, I expect the libertarian candidate to fully endorse the open source brilliance of Android.

          1. Id   15 years ago

I develop for Android (OS and app-level). It's an infuriating pile of half-finished trash.

        2. Pro Libertate   15 years ago

There's no evidence that the Man in Black watched Python at all.

    2. WasabiPeas   15 years ago

Old Elvis or Young Elvis? Young Elvis was cool.

Of course, the most important characteristic needed for being president is being good on television.

  7. Meta_Man   15 years ago

A libertarian using the government-created internet. Interesting.

    1. Citizen Nothing   15 years ago

And how did he get to the studio, hmm?
      I'll tell you how: ROADS!

      1. wylie   15 years ago

How was he alive to even get to the studio, huh?

        I'll tell you how: OBAMACARE.

        Fucking libertard ingrates.

      2. yonemoto   15 years ago

you idiot, he used SOMALIA to get to the studio.

    2. curiousgeorge   15 years ago

      ...
      ...

      Bad troll is bad.

    3. DJ DERP   15 years ago

This site deserves a better class of troll.

      1. Max   15 years ago

And I'm gonna give it to them

  8. Kevin   15 years ago

So, is his campaign effectively finished?

  9. yonemoto   15 years ago

why did he even bother? god damn.

  10. Greg Cosmos   15 years ago

Your links don't actually go where they say they do, but I found it searching around Youtube.

  11. CE   15 years ago

I didn't have time to watch all of this. Apple or Blackberry?

  12. CE   15 years ago

My comment got marked as spam because I copied one of the questions posed to Ron Paul, about which smartphone he likes better....

  13. Adamson   15 years ago

Maybe he'll come to his senses and pull out of the Republican race so he can run for the LP nomination. He hasn't a snowball's chance of being the Repuglican nominee, but a much stronger chance of the Libertarian nomination - in which case his voice will be heard all the way to November.

  14. bill   15 years ago

i dunno, it seems more dignified to just bitch about not being in the debate than to make a "now here's what I woulda told them goons" video

  15. scarpe Nike Store   15 years ago

    is good
