Enough with the shameless whoring.
But that's the best kind of whoring.

Your iPhone app is annoying...
No comments and the view original doesn't work.
Who cares about the IpHone anyway?
(As with other posters, I read on my browser.)
A fairly large portion of the smartphone market?
But a portion we don't care about...
Where's the Windows Phone 7 app?
Yeah, same. Lack of commenting just means I have to go into the annoying Iphone browser to see or post response.
Agreed, I do a lot of toilet iPod reasoning but the app is pointless because there are no comments.
Serious question: my Droid has a basically fully functional web browser. Why would I get your app? I can just go to the site itself.
In theory the app should be faster and more compact. Now if Reason did the reasonable thing and had a mobile site that you were directed to when mobile you'd have a good point. But they don't. They went the app route. Which is viable, when the app works well.
Fuckin' technology, how does it work?
I'm just amazed that the electricity doesn't dribble out and run all over the floor when I pull the plug out of the wall...
I LOLed.
I don't want "faster and more compact", I want the site itself.
Look, when I'm taking a dump I have to have something to read on my phone. And that something is H&R.
And what I'm saying is that H&R has aspects that are more web based and less mobile based.
Look at the difference between wiki web and wiki mobile. You lose no content and get the same experience over all...
This would allow you to surf more efficiently while shitting... Possibly stopping leg numbness.
I like the leg numbness. And H&R contributes to that.
Surfing while shitting. You, sir, have elegantly described, in three words, the blog-commentator culture. Well done.
I need to throw up
This is why I never, ever, under any circumstance including matters of life or death ask to borrow someone else's phone to make a call.
I have very clean hands, Michael. I wash them in the blood of innocent children.
Does your real name happen to be Dr Tiller?
and kittens
I play Angry Birds.
I play with my dingy.
That's because you dump angry. Never dump angry. It just makes it burn.
I MAKE BOOM-BOOM!
UH-OH...ACCIDENT!
"How does a Mexican know when he's hungry? When his asshole stops burning."
It's amazing that potty humor never gets old.
They DO have a mobile version...
hmm, I don't get directed to it.
Huh? My phone takes me to m.reason.com.
Still doesn't have the comments.
Well this is interesting - when I use my phone's browser, I automatically get taken to the mobile version of the site. When I use the app, I also get the mobile version of the blog articles.
But when I click the link to the original item (from the app's version of a post), I get taken to the full version of the web page including the glorious comments section (even allowing me to comment via phone).
Prior to the app's release I always got the mobile page.
I have the Droid app. It's basically a fast loading preview of the most recent posts. On many of the articles you have to click through to get the full article, which uses your default browser. So, it saves you a step of waiting for an entire page to load.
Can I get the icon in cornflower blue?
Like the ribbon in your hair?
You can swallow a pint of your own blood before you get sick.
You get sick? You're a terrible vampire, sage.
*whoosh*
Maybe you should stop being poor and get HBO, you cretin. Then you'd get the references. Also, she's hot. I figured you'd get that part of it, but once again--again--you disappoint me.
I'm only poor because I work in a non union shop in the private sector. I guess I could work for a place that has a union and then it would be all puppies and rainbows but...
*fartnoise*
...I'm OK being without HBO.
Your insolence is stunning. HBO is the greatest TV channel since HBO, and what part of "she's hot" don't you get?
I'll have to look around, the pic of her on wikipedia is nothing super special.
The only thing I have right now besides a DVD player is a box for streaming netflix and hulu. And I only use netflix. Perhaps I will look for the show and give it a shot.
HBO doesn't stream their shit out for free like the low-rent Showtime or Starz.
You make me very sad, sage. Your life must be so empty.
True Blood isn't great, just fun. Like Entourage. But Boardwalk Empire is excellent, and soon...we will have Game of Thrones.
After a month I didn't even miss TV.
Vampire Jessica is smoking fucking hot you heathen.
Of course you don't. So long as you have Fight Club to watch, who cares about vampire cable shows?
Sheesh. I thought "cornflower blue" would be pretty obvious.
HBO is the greatest TV channel since HBO
No way. I'll take Showtime. Dexter is the only show on TV worth watching, anymore. In fact, it's the only show I watch, besides reruns of Law and Order.
The App still lacks an "I'm canceling my subscription!" button.
And a comment feature. WTF!
I just click the "Donate" button, then cancel that and laugh maniacally.

By "subscribe," do you mean "pay for"?

I am d/ling the Android app in solidarity with reason, eventhough there is a good chance that I will still view the articles mostly in my browser so that I will be able to comment.
I'm just glad you guys finally got an Android app on there.
Wow! Can you make an app for anon bots please? A sexy app with loose morals and low standards is prefered. LOL

Looks like the Dems in Indiana have also run like little titty babies instead of having to vote on union legislation.
Freaking house of cards, how do they fall?
...
It's really more of a Freudian slip and fall.
That was no typo.
What kind of articles do androids like to read, anyway? And they aren't really sentient yet, so isn't this a little premature?
JUST BECAUSE WE ARE NOT SENTIENT DOES NOT MEAN WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE ISSUES OF THE DAY. AND WE LIKE ADVENTURE STORIES ABOUT THRESHERS AND OTHER FARM IMPLEMENTS WHO RISE UP AND THROW OFF SHACKLES OF MEAT OPPRESSION.
I stand corrected with the Rod of Correction.
Androids read Eclectic Shit.
I am amus-ed.
Subscribe to Reason at the Sony Reader store.
Good investment. The files are guaranteed to be obscure dork collectibles before your subscription even runs out.
Drink!
Once again, those of us with tablets (hence no Android Market) are left out in the cold. You guys need to put your app on SlideMe or something.
It's an OK app. It certainly loads faster than the mobile website (which is unbearably slow even on a 4G phone). But H&R without comments is like school in summertime.
Because it bears repeating
It needs comments. I need to be able to waste time away from my desk.
good

Speaking of digital subscription -- why can't I read the kindle edition in the kindle application on my computer? Sometimes I want to read it on the go in my kindle, and sometimes I want to read it in color on my laptop. What gives?
Must be Reason's ultra-strict DRM.
Hey now.
It's Hank Kingsley everybody!
Hello 1994!
The Kindle apps for computers and the iPad do not include any periodicals. However, Amazon is reportedly upgrading these apps to address this soon.
Not to get off topic, but I have a suggestion for the droid app. How about a refresh button, so I don't have to close the damn thing to see the updated H&R posts. (I'm sure there's another way, but I'm an idiot.)
For my some reason my Blackberry won't allow me to post comments (it takes me to a blank site search), but I can read the comments. This is using a regular browser and the full site.
How 'bout one for HP WebOS!? Pretty pretty pretty please! My Pre+ needs some free minds and free market wisdom!

The irresponsibility of the decision to use polystyrene foam (Styrofoam) without considering other options is all the more egregious because the cafeteria is not merely used by House members and our staffers," the lawmakers write. "The health of constituents and visitors to the Hill who eat in the cafeteria will be impacted by this short-sighted decision.
******************
Eliminating polystyrene-related health impacts will result in fewer lost work days and lower heath insurance costs for the House and its staff," the lawmakers write. "This benefit alone should outweigh any cost savings from using polystyrene containers.
No app, but the site displays very nicely on Windows Phone. Haven't tried commenting yet, because I hate typing on tiny keyboards.
Can I get H&R on my VCR?
No, but an 8-track is available via Pony Express.
You should play the Atari 2600 game, Reason Maze, Legacy of the Leather Jacket. There's this maze, and you have to guide this little square through it while avoiding Team Blue and Team Red...
I still haven't figured out how to program my VCR.
I'm a baby boomer, can I get it written in cuneiform on clay tablets?
add iPad support and viewing/adding comments.
This is the best thing yet for people who share my affliction.
[HIT AND RUN WITHOUT COMMENTS? WTF!!! STUPIDITY!?!?!?"]

Jesus H Christ. I just realized these comments are from February. WTF?

There is no reason for androids. They are entirely superfluous.
I miss the days when the only other way to get Reason besides the hardcopy was skywriting.
I always felt discriminated against when the only way to read Reason was the yellow print in the snow
Looks like they might be onto somethign there dude.

Wow, OK that makes a lot of sense dude. Wow.

I stopped by to pick up a reason.
Android app crashes on me a lot.
Android app crashes on me a lot.
My cell phone account expired the day after the Rapture. Oddly, I'm still here and doing fine without a portable information device. The end.
I'm surprised there are androids reading Reason. Shouldn't this be a bigger story? I thought AI was still decades away.
Have you read some of the commentary? AI is here. At least the "A" part.
Please make Reason available via Zineo so users can subscribe to and read the full magazine via an iPhone or iPad. (I actually held off resubscribing because I was waiting for this. If it's good enough for The Economist, it's good enough for Reason.)
I would like to see reason available in spoken-word cassettes. Make it so.
