Alison Rose, the chief superintendent for England's West Yorkshire police, says men who use prostitutes should be required to give a DNA sample to be placed in law enforcement databases. She says it could help prevent crimes against prostitutes. But critics say that it would invade the men's privacy and could cause many false leads in criminal investigations of crimes against prostitutes, since, by the nature of their work, they could well have "DNA" from many different men on them.
