Holy shit that picture is terrifying.

That is word-for-word what I was about to post.

Is that guy from the future?

    1. Brian Sorgatz   15 years ago

He's from Back to the Future. "You're a slacker, McFly!"

  5. James J.B.   15 years ago

Looks like Balko's gay arch nemesis. Or, maybe it is Balko from an alternate universe - Like he'd have a blog that praises the police.

      Where's his goatee?

When Chip was in Balmer on WBAL, he had a segment ("Curb Your Intelligence") where he would go into the street and ask people seemingly innocuous questions testing basic knowledge, that dozens of people would get wrong.

Once you were done laughing and had picked your jaw off the floor, you would weep for the future.

    1. James J.B.   15 years ago

I used to believe that. In college, a professor said that everyone should read the NYT. I used to pay attention more - I read this site regularly. I know Balko's stories are very, ahem, uplifting. I don't scoff at these people anymore. They don't know the president's name, where somalia is, or that djabouti isn't your backside- but I bet they sleep well at night - even if it is brief.
