The Real Problem With ObamaCare? The Advertising Budget Is Just Too Dang Small.
Health care overhaul still not polling well? It's a messaging problem. Has to be! Ahem.
The Obama administration health department office tasked with selling the healthcare reform law is looking to quadruple its budget while almost doubling the size of its staff.
If they only had just a little more money, they could finally explain to people that the law has many popular benefits and help them understand that, really, they probably like the…oh, nevermind. (Hat tip: Chris Jacobs.)

Doggone, I missed it.
It's probably the 95th amendment that says:
"The Federal government shall raise taxes to promote government programs"
That's it, right?
I thought the polling was all over the place-that people didn't was this bill repealed but they were not satisfied with it entirely
Ah, the "people aren't against the war, just against the way it's being fault, they really want more war instead of this limited engagement stuff" argument?
no. I am certain the polls from the start indicated the want for HC reform, incomplete satisfaction with the bill but no desire to have it repealed.
Weird that you consider "A full 47% of independents support repeal of the law, with or without a replacement" to be "no desire to have it repealed," but then again you've never shown a capacity for logical thinking as opposed to wishful thinking.
John, you presume that I take the word of one survey that is sponsored by an anti-reform lobby. Perhaps your logical thinking is based on your provinciality.

You've got to wonder about those Kaiser polls.
50% oppose ObamaCare, but 62% don't want to defund it?
WTF?
Obama thinks we're stupid, he thinks that a glitzy advertising campaign is gonna turn all of us into big government Marxist. Hey Obama, that "hope and change" bullshit doesn't work anymore. Crap is crap even if you hire Lachapelle to shoot it.
No Smokers Need Apply: Why you should care even if you don't smoke.

Only took you three days to recycle that Reason post about employing smokers? Great job Grego!
That story is all over the media and what I wrote is original copy, no quotations, no source links, just my own text.
Try to read my links next time, Heller, it's a lot easier than making assumptions.
I think you need to finish high school reading comp, because my point just went whooshing over your head Grego.
First look up the meaning of recycle. Does it connote direct quotation? No, it connotes that you reused a talking point everyone else had exhausted three days ago. It's not very original if someone else has already said it, is it Grego?
Yeah well, is anything 100% original? No. Everything comes from somewhere, maybe I felt like writing about the issue which I'm sure some people find interesting.
The problem is not that your post isn't 100% original, it's that it is 0% original.
Hey Gregory, do you have helle posting "This blog is shit" on yours too? JW
Nope, helle only bitches here.
You wish I would take the time to take a dump on your blog.
WAKE UP SHEEPLE
helle, I'm, having so much fun fighting with you tonight on my blog but do you mind calling yourself evil helle#1 and evil helle#2 because it is so confusing trying to tell you and your imaginary friend apart.
That's it, you're incifed you delusional bitch.
Ha! I got plenty of people visiting my blog, I'm getting 100 to 200 a day.

WTF?
The more interesting statistics is that 47% of independents favor repeal, but fewer favor defunding. I think one might conclude that people simply believe that defunding is dirty pool somehow, a "one House veto."
The Kaiser polls have always been outliers the last couple of years. They gave 0Care a higher margin of approval than just about every other poll.
I seem to recall that it was revealed that they had some PR hack on JournalList at the time the Weigel "ratfucker" story broke.
Doesn't the health care bill limit the amount of money insurance companies can spend on advertising? It only makes sense to tell a company how much of their own money they can spend on something. It's not like their using OTHER people's money to push their own ideas.

There are roughly three classes of people in America:
Those of us who know this is a good bill because we're not susceptible to Faux News propaganda.
Middle Americans who were duped by the right-wing media into believing this bill will hurt them, even though it will actually benefit them. This category might benefit from this advertising campaign.
Cry-baby libertarians who are against this bill precisely because it will help people. These people are beyond logic or reason.
Faux Tony? At this point I can't even tell any more.
Faux Fatty? At this point I can't even tell any more.
Maybe I'm the real Tony's alter ego.
fascinating and nothing surprises me here-perhaps I am someone else too.
I'm going to sake fake.
No, it wasn't me. However, for once the sock-puppet was actually pretty spot on.
Namely, that those of you who have dug in their heels against the bill have done a credible job of scaring a good deal of the country about the nature of the bill.
Futhermore, as the libertarians are so conditioned against anything that might be construed as government intrusion, they fail to really consider the actual merits of the bill.
If some of you are able to imitate me on that point, perhaps you are starting to see that.
Health through Force.

"There are roughly three classes of people in America:"
1) Tony
2) Other brain-deads
3) Reasonable people
Thanks, jackass, for proving once again your brain-cell needs company.
I can't tell if that's a spoof or not.
Add to this a fourth class of people. People like Tony that know what is best for the rest of us.
There is only one kind of Tony.
And he's all stupid all the time.
They already deployed Andy Griffith, and the seniors still don't like it. I'm not sure what weapons are left in their arsenal.
If Matlock & AARP haven't brought them around, nothing will.
Marketing and advertising--bad when evil corporations do it, great when a Democratic administration does it.
Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about information and love learning more on this. If possible, as you gain expertise, It is extremely helpful for me.
would you mind updating your blog with more information?
Keep spinning...
...maybe if you repeat the same lie over and over and over again, it'll come true...
...we all know that there are three groups: like the law, hate the law because they want repeal, and hate the law because they want it to go further.
As much as you want to spin that the third group is in support of your position, its just not true...as THEY VERY POLL YOU SITE indicates - they don't want it defunded.
You people are conservatives through and through...full of shit, lying at every opportunity to distort reality.
Good luck with that.
The Kaiser polls are bullshit, you fucking moron.
Again a moron. As the poll reveals, there's a huge number of people who *do* want it repealed, even without a replacement, but *don't* want it defunded for some reason. You're eliding two groups together.
Wow, SM you are such an idiot. Keep on spinning, moron.
No, you're the moron that doesn't understand who these groups are...the poll does not say they want it repealed to go back to the previous status quo...you people just can't admit this. Any poll which gives a variety of options shows the majority want THIS LAW OR MORE...i'm sorry you've lost this one son...
Who cares what the majority wants?
