Spoiler alert: At the end of Article III, the Judicial Branch kills Dumbledore.

    1. SugarFree   15 years ago

      NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

    2. Kolohe   15 years ago

FOE, that should have been the caption.

      1. Fist of Etiquette   15 years ago

I refuse to give up the copyright.

    3. El Duderino   15 years ago

I'm still waiting for "Second Amendment 2: Reloaded" to hit DVD.

      1. Bucky   15 years ago

        +10

  2. sage   15 years ago

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

    1. waffles   15 years ago

      I don't get it...wait.

      HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  3. sage   15 years ago

So...is the author trying to say that the constitution is popular again, or that it's a complete work of fiction?

    1. anarch   15 years ago

      Why not both?

      /pessimism

    2. Devil Inchoate   15 years ago

      It's in the Fantasy section.

      1. Patch   15 years ago

I beg to differ. Twilight's in that section, and it is far from fantasy, more like a nightmare.

        1. B&N Employee   15 years ago

So shall I move it to the Horror section or the Horrid section?

          1. Other B&N Employee   15 years ago

I'm taking it off the display shelf, it's politically incorrect.

    3. PapayaSF   15 years ago

This reminds me of a quote I saw recently: "The Constitution isn't perfect, but it's better than what we have now."

      1. Remove Before Flight *TAG*   15 years ago

Nice quote. Good for knee-caping casual leftists arguments.

        1. Bucky   15 years ago

          "knee-capping"...
bet you heard that on Fox!

    4. kbolino   15 years ago

Actually, the Constitution is almost completely a work of fiction. The only exceptions are a few qualifying phrases like "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State" in the Second Amendment. This has nothing to do with the legitimacy of the document, but rather with its content. For contrast, most of the Declaration of Independence (except the actual declaration at the end) is nonfiction, because it reads like a description of fact.

      1. yonemoto   15 years ago

I always had a problem with "we hold these truths to be self evident" Sorry, I don't find that the at-birth equality of human beings to be all that self evident.

    5. El Duderino   15 years ago

I think that he is saying its popular again, problem is, its not popular with the people who take oaths to defend it.

  4. mr simple   15 years ago

Da Vinci Code? Harry Potter? Was this drawn five years ago?

    1. BakedPenguin   15 years ago

Payne lives in Detroit. It takes a while for culture to break though the ring of desolation there.

      1. Fatty Bolger   15 years ago

You need one of these to get through the blockade:

        Weaponizers

        1. El Duderino   15 years ago

Ironically, this is made in China.

      2. Snake Plissken   15 years ago

Even I can't escape for Detroit

  5. Ezra Klein   15 years ago

    I don't get it.

  6. Johnny Longtorso   15 years ago

    Twilight!!!! Squeeee!!!!!!!

  7. CoyoteBlue   15 years ago

Over christmas, I saw the saddest thing in a Borders store. They have a new genre section called "Teenage Paranormal Romance." The End Times indeed.

I did my niece, who has some writing talent to write something with Harpys and get in on money train.

    1. captiol l   15 years ago

Am I reading your last sentence correctly?

      1. CoyoteBlue   15 years ago

        fuck
        *I did [tell] my niece*

nevermind - just report me to the proper authorities

        1. Dave   15 years ago

This exchange was funnier than the cartoon. Which isn't saying much, since the cartoon needs a decoder ring to even understand it. But this, on the other hand, was damn funny!

          1. Spoonman.   15 years ago

Agreed. There's always more entertainment in the Friday Funnies threads than in the Friday Funnies themselves.

Hell, there's usually more entertainment in anon-bot posts than in Friday Funnies.

          2. El Duderino   15 years ago

I let out a hearty Butthead laugh as soon as my eyes hit "did".

        2. Hooha   15 years ago

          Oh, how I laughed.

  8. Bee Tagger   15 years ago

He's pulling out his dick while figuring out which one to piss on, right?

    1. sage   15 years ago

      LULZ. WIN!

      1. Fist of Etiquette   15 years ago

Don't get too swelled a head, Bee Tee. Sage has a history of feigning laughter.

  9. Robert Jackson   15 years ago

"The Constitution is a suicide pact"

  10. Derp   15 years ago

    Not bad.

  11. P Brooks   15 years ago

    Is this a subsidized bookstore?

  12. Fatty Bolger   15 years ago

Is that the bookshop in the Supreme Court building?

    1. sarcasmic   15 years ago

      Hahahahahahaaahaahahaa

      Whew!

  13. CrackertyAssCracker   15 years ago

It's not funny because it's not true

  14. Bucky   15 years ago

    this is better...
there is a T-shirt hawker selling "Together We Thrive" shirts outside the "memorial services" for the slain in AZ.
he is saying to the passersby "Get your, 'Together We Thrive' T-shirts right here. Get'em before the next 'Tragedy To Good To Waste'...

  15. Lefty Liberalson   15 years ago

Clearly, he's saying that the Constitution stuff is just a fad...much like Harry Potter and Twilight. How pedestrian in appealing to the lowest common denominator. Hrruppphh Hrrrumphh

  16. Almanian   15 years ago

    Good Morning, Reason!

    Oh, wait a minute...

  17. El Duderino   15 years ago

I think the oath should read: To protect, defend and read the constitution. . .

  18. Ben Rushing   15 years ago

Hey somebody misplaced that book in the kids section!
