We'll Handle This Ourselves
After a 16-year-old girl told officials at Indiana's Muncie High School she'd just been raped on campus, they didn't call 911. Instead, they held her in the principal's office for two hours and made her write a report on the assault. Police didn't find out about the girl's claims until a worker at a children's center called them about four hours after the rape allegedly happened. By the time they got to the school, the bathroom where the rape was reported to have happened had been cleaned by a custodian. School officials say they wanted to make sure a rape had actually happened before getting the police involved.
