Any Fool Can Make a Rule
Ithaca College sent Henry David Thoreau's Walden to incoming freshmen this year to read, and that gave a group of students in the department of environmental studies and sciences the idea to build a replica of Thoreau's famous cabin. Well, that was the plan until the local code enforcement officer found out about the project. He insisted the 150-square-foot cabin had to meet all code requirements, including having a sprinkler system.
