Reason Writers On TV (Or Behind the Scenes, Anyway)
Fox News has been showing a six-part series on the history of American conservatism, called The Right, All Along. Among the producers is Steve Kurtz, a contributor to Reason. The programs have been airing Sunday evenings at 9 p.m. eastern; if you missed the first three episodes, never fear, they'll be rerun as a block from 3 to 6 in the afternoon on Thanksgiving. "Those with families can DVR it," Kurtz notes, "but the angry loners can watch it right then."

"but the angry loners can watch it right then."
The key demographic for Fox!
Woohoo!
I'm really not anxious to see FoxNews' warped take on the history of conservatism. Dollars to donuts they strip any mention of conservative non-interventionism in WW1, Korea, and Kosovo.
Don't waste your time. Their take on the intellectually bankrupt conservative movement is a superfluous and hackneyed regurgitation of well-worn sound bites and video clips that breaks no new ground and provides little insight into the philosophical foundations of conservatism's rise, inevitable failure and defeat.
I'm most decidedly an angry loner, but I'll be watching football, fuck you very much!
I've caught the first two. They were well done and informative.
What about us content loners? I guess I'll just have to resort to merrily skipping around the block while whistling.
What about us angry loners who don't give a fuck about the standard "liberal"/"conservative" nomenclatural divide? Screwed as usual, i suppose.
But wait! Jesse Walker isn't a right winger. Where does he fit in?
Edddddward. Eddddddward.
I saw last Sunday's episode. It appears to be well done. I'm looking forward to seeing the others.
Fox and Reason are pretty close, aren't they? Real low-brow shit.
Edddddward. Eddddddward.
How do you sustain a "d" when speaking?
I think of it as sustaining the short 'e', actually. Although, now that you mention it, "Eeeedward" has a fun sound to it too.
I was watching a YouTube video of Blue Oyster Cult being interviewed on some teen talk show from 1980, and among the producer credits was a Jesse Walker.
Not only will I make the family watch it Thursday, But I'm delaying the carving until the show is over.
You may want to hide that carving knife, then.
This is how angry loners are created...
